In related news, I have convinced my brother that it’s time to get a bit of proper dirt on his new Defender 110 Landmark (well it is a month old now!) so hopefully going to do a bit of light off roading tomorrow in North Wales.

Sweet. What green lanes do you have in North Wales? There’s only about 3 in Northumberland that are worth the bother, and most across Cumbria are being shut down one by one by the Ramblers Association. I have no beef with the ramblers, but surely one day a week of green-laning isn't that harmful??

Is nothing too difficult, been over it (just) once in an X-Trail, there’s a couple other place on that page too.

Bloody ramblers and their moaning, is normally quad and dirt bikers that cause the damage and show no courtesy to walkers but everyone gets tarred with the same brush!
